The Legend of Haleakala
At an elevation of 10,023 feet sits the summit of Haleakala in Maui, HI. Haleakala translate to "House of The Sun" and is a popular tourist site for watching the sunrise. Many say it is best to go when it's cloudy in the morning. However, the morning we went was too cloudy with rain and temperatures below freezing. This resulted in complete obstruction of the sunrise. To make the most of our trek, on the way down the mountain we were able to fund a few gaps in the clouds and snapped a couple photos:
